BELLARY: Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy will lay the foundation stone of the Dananayakanakere lift irrigation project in Hospet taluk on December 24. Home Minister M.P. Prakash told presspersons here on Sunday that the scheme, estimated to cost Rs. 4.34 crore, was the realisation of a long-cherished dream of the people. Water will be pumped from the Tungabhadra to the Dananayakanakere tank and used to irrigate around 3,000 acres.
