Inter-school competition on IT and commerce

For students of IX to XII Standards

CHENNAI
: Students of Standard IX to XII from city schools are in for some healthy competition and challenge at `K-FITCOM 2007', an inter-school competition being hosted by Kola Saraswathi Vaishnav Senior Secondary School on January 5 and 6, 2007.
Addressing a press conference on Monday, principal of the school Neela N. Desai said the contest would broadly cover Information Technology, Commerce and Fashion. The IT element of the competition would feature contests testing students' knowledge of hardware and software. Adzap and other creative events to help students display their marketing abilities will be held as part of the Commerce element.
As part of the Fashion segment, students' ability to design clothes and their knowledge of the evolution of the fashion industry would be tested.
Several IT companies and educational institutions would put up stalls for the benefit of students.
Correspondent of the school Govind Das Purushothaam Das was also present at the press meet.
