Bangalore : Eminent space scientist K. Kasturirangan has been appointed by Pope Benedict XV1 as an Academician of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences, making him the fourth Indian scientist to get the honour. Dr. Kasturirangan was preceded by C. V. Raman, M. G. K. Menon and C. N. R. Rao. Dr. Kasturirangan, former Chairman of Indian Space Research Organisation and Rajya Sabha member, said "it is a very good news to me. I am delighted." — PTI
