Traffic regulation

KOCHI: Vehicular traffic will be regulated in the city on Tuesday and Wednesday for the visit of President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the City Police Commissioner said here on Monday. Parking will not be allowed on Mahatma Gandhi Road, Banerji Road, Shanmugham Road, Park Avenue, Foreshore Road, Churchlanding Road and Durbar Hall Road on Tuesday and till noon on Wednesday. Traffic on these roads and on the road in front of the Guest House will be regulated from Tuesday noon to Wednesday noon. Small vehicles will be allowed on the road behind the Guest House from 5 p.m. on Tuesday. — Staff Reporter

College closed

KOCHI: Ernakulam Government Maharaja's College was closed down indefinitely from Monday following clashes between students. Problems began on the campus after Students' Federation of India (SFI) activists staged a march. The Akhila Bharata Vidyarthi Parishad alleged that SFI activists damaged its flag post. Students belonging to both the groups were injured. — Staff Reporter
