Global fusion music

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Swaralaya, a non-profit cultural organisation, would host a "Global Fusion Music" event in which internationally renowned musicians are expected to take part. The show would be staged at A.K.G. Memorial Hall at 6 p.m. on Wednesday. The participants include L. Subramaniam, Kavitha Krishnamoorthy Subramaniam, Ambi Subramaniam, Ulrika Nilsson (Sweden), Anna Schulze (Sweden), Jan Kubek (Poland), and Miguel Czachowski (Poland) among others.

Youth dead

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 35-year-old man, who sustained serious burn injuries while riding a motorbike on Monday evening, died at the Medical College Hospital here on Monday. The police identified the deceased as Anil Nath of Karamana. He was on the personal staff of M. A. Waheed, MLA, the police said. They have registered a case of unnatural death.The body was handed over to relatives after post-mortem examination.

Gang war: one hurt

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 21-year-old youth was seriously injured in a fight between two gangs in Chirayankeezhu police station limits late on Tuesday. The injured person, whose palm was almost severed, was identified as Praveen. The police were investigating a gang led by one `Auto' Jayan in connection with the incident. — Staff Reporter

One injured in attack

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 35-year-old man, Biju, was injured when two persons attacked his father's furniture showroom at Plamoodu on Tuesday evening. The police were investigating some local people in connection with the incident.
