10 unauthorised shops removed
Staff Reporter
Bangalore:
In an operation conducted by the Health Officer (Shanthinagar) of Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BMP) East division here on Monday, 10 unauthorised pavements shops, two fruit juice centres and a shed on BMP land on the Hosur Lasker Road were removed with the help of the Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force.
Encroachments
Under a drive to remove encroachments on pavements coming under the Executive Engineer (Bharathinagar) in the east division of BMP and to allow free movement for pedestrians, pavements at Trinity Circle were cleared of encroachments such as unauthorised sheds, banners, buntings and hoardings.
In another operation, a building, which was being constructed in violation of the approved plan at Kempegowda Nagar, was demolished.
