Mild tension prevails near Begumpet airport

HYDERABAD:
Mild tension prevailed for a while near the cargo entrance of the Begumpet Airport here late on Monday night following fears by locals belonging to a community that their place of worship would be shifted by municipal officials.
Fears
Amidst the fears, the locals demolished a make-shift structure near the IBP petrol service station that was allegedly constructed by the authorities to shift the place of worship.
Local residents of Begumpet alleged that the Town Planning Department of MCH had proposed to shift the place of worship to a new place located just behind the existing place of worship.
The situation came under control when the police intervened and dispersed the mob.
