Gang takes away Rs. 18 lakh cash

BANGALORE:
A five-member gang took away Rs. 18 lakh from a petrol bunk on Hosur Road on Sunday.
According to the police, the five, who were wearing masks, came to the bunk in a car around 1 a.m. after breaking open the rear door.
They forced five employees of the bunk, who were sleeping, into the storeroom and locked it.
They were armed with machetes and pistols, the police said and added that they broke open the cash box and took away the collectionfor Saturday and Sunday.
They located the point where a video was being recorded and damaged it, the police said.
The police suspected the involvement of an inter-State gang in the crime.
A search is on for the gang members.
