Rupee declines

MUMBAI: The Rupee ended a shade lower against the dollar on Tuesday at 44.75/76 due to poor foreign fund inflows into the stock market and dollar demand by banks.

In restricted activity at the interbank foreign exchange market, the Indian unit resumed weak at 44.76/78 a dollar from Monday's close of 44.74/75, but later moved in a narrow range and closed at 44.75/76 a dollar, fractionally lower than Monday's close.
