Gram panchayat staff stage dharna

HYDERABAD:
Hundreds of employees under the aegis of the AP Gram Panchayat Employees and Workers' Union staged a dharna at the Indira Park here on Tuesday seeking a solution to their long-pending demands. Their demands include payment of arrears at one go by sanctioning grants to the treasury, regularisation of services of NMRs, part-timers and daily wagers, payment of minimum wages to the contract staff and wages on the first of every month and extension of PF cover.
Among those who addressed the gathering were union president G. Ramulu and general secretary P. Bhaskar.
