Hope Spring's triumphs

NEW DELHI: Miss Ameeta Mehra and Miss Devika Mehra rep. Usha Stud & Agrl. Farm Pvt. Ltd's Hope Spring's (S. A. Shah atop) bagged the President Of India Cup, the main event of the races here on Tuesday (Dec.19). A. Khan trains the winner.

Soon after the announcement of disqualification of jockey R. Parmod, who failed to weigh-in after riding Red Cat out to finish second in the first race, the crowd was unhappy and held up the proceeding for an hour. Incidentally, Parmod has been suspended with immediate effect by the stewards of the Delhi Race Club. Earlier an enquiry was held into the incident by the stewards. Subsequently, the placings were also revised.
