HYDERABAD: Buyers from over a dozen nations will be here on January 9 and 10, 2007, to look at software and hardware from 80 exhibitors on display at the 7th edition of IndiaSoft 2007 road show in the Hitex International Exhibition Centre. Nalin Kohli, Chairman, Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC), at a curtain raiser on Monday, said the six road shows since year 2000 had helped showcase India's cutting edge capabilities in Information Technology and Communication (IT & C) and outsourcing partnerships to the global IT and business community. He said that since 2000, four such shows were held in New Delhi and two in Chennai. IndiaSoft was conceived to help small and medium enterprises (SMEs) market their products and customers whose requirements were relatively small. K. Ratna Prabha, Principal Secretary, IT & C, said the event would directly help SMEs, which could not afford to invest large amounts on marketing and promotion. She said Andhra Pradesh had registered enviable growth rate in the past two years and that IndiaSoft would serve as a platform where SMEs could get readymade buyers for their products.
