Special classes for nursing students
Staff Reporter
BANGALORE:
The Karnataka Nursing Council has said it will direct nursing colleges across the State to start special classes to help students who are appearing for the supplementary examination. It has said steps will be taken to schedule the examination in March 2007.
The assurances from the KNC Registrar Jayaram came after nursing students from across the State staged a protest, organised by the Students' Federation of India (SFI), in front of the council office on Tuesday.
"Most of the students who have joined general nursing and midwifery courses through the Social Welfare Department have failed in the examinations held in 2005-2006.
Nursing colleges will be asked to provide classes for them," he said.
