Thumping win for South Zone Police

Madurai: South Zone Police registered a thumping 4-1 victory over Acme Sports Club in the Madurai District Football Association `A' division league for Hi-Tech Arai Trophy at Madura College ground here on Wednesday.

Velmurugan (24th minute), Krishnamuthy (29th), James (75th) and Ramesh (84th) scored for Police. Saravanaraj (66th) scored for Acme Sports Club.

Alagappa posts win

Alagappa University College of Physical Education recorded a 2-0 victory over Vetri Vinayagar Football Club, Manachai in the Sivagangai District Football Association `A' division league at AUCPE ground, Karaikudi on Wednesday. Vincent scored both the goals in the 29th and 54th minutes.
