VIJAYAWADA : D.V. Manor has put on its menu all the delicacies prepared at roadside dhabas. Calling it the `Highway Experience', it has converted Aromas, its multi-cuisine restaurant, into a veritable dhaba with charpoys and heavy iron chulas (stoves). Posters of classical movies give it the ambience of a quintessential dhaba. The picture is complete with waiters dressed in T-shirts and dhoti. "Baigan bhartha prepared out of a special brinjal barbecued over hot coals, mashed and mixed with spices is a must in every dhaba," says hotel vice-president and general manager Rajesh Berry.
Delicacies
Vegetarian gastronomes can relish delicacies like pindi chole, jammu de rajam, matar paneer, peepewale chole, methi gobi, khumbi, d egg dishes prepared exactly like in the dhabas will be a splendid treat for non-vegetarian gourmets. "Being photographed with Santa Claus in the hotel atrium is a big attraction ," Mr. Berry says.
