Inter-region cricket from today

HYDERABAD: Ten teams from across the country are in the fray for the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited inter-region cricket tournament, which will be held in Hyderabad from December 21 to 25.

Thirty-over league matches will be played at the Army Ordnance Centre's (AOC) Thapar Stadium, the ECIL ground and the Hyderabad Metro Water Works Cricket Stadium at Bagh Amberpet.

The semifinals and final will be played at the Rajiv Gandhi international cricket stadium at Uppal.

All matches will be co-ordinated by the Hyderabad Cricket Association with former Hyderabad and India `A' off-spinner Kanwaljit Singh as observer.

The teams:

Corporate Centre (Gurgaon); Northern Region-I (Delhi); Northern Region II (Jammu); Eastern region (Kolkata, Patna and Bhubaneshwar); North Eastern Region (Shillong and Guwahati); Western Region (Nagpur and Mumbai); Southern Region (from Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad). — Special Correspondent
