Shahabuddin runs through Baroda

CHENNAI: Fast bowler K. Shahabuddin rattled Baroda with a terrific six-wicket burst, as Andhra took the first innings lead in their Super League tie at Vadodara on Wednesday. The host slid from a comfortable 262 for three overnight to 320 all out, 17 runs short of Andhra's 342.

At Kolhapur: Punjab 550 and 28 for no loss in 14 overs drew with Maharashtra 452 in 165 overs (D. Jadhav 72, H. Kanitkar 131, S. Sriram 45, Y. Takwale 51, S. Bahutule 52, Rajesh Sharma six for 143).

At Hyderabad: Mumbai 115 and 268 in 122.1 overs (V. Mane 48, R. Sharma 95, A. Absolom four for 67, P. Ojha four for 78) lost to Hyderabad 354 and 33 for one in 8.2 overs.

At Kolkata: Gujarat 329 and 302 for four in 110 overs (A. Bilakhia 122, N.K. Patel 41, B. Thaker 61 n.o.) drew with Bengal 326.

At Vadodara: Andhra 342 and 128 for two in 47.1 overs (M.S.K. Prasad 61 n.o., L.N.P. Reddy 57) drew with Baroda 325 in 131.5 overs (S. Parab 45, R. Solanki 113, J. Martin 78, K.S. Shahabuddin six for 80).
