HYDERABAD: The city police are exploring the possible involvement of servant maid Devi and manager Venkatapathi Raju in the murder case of former TDP legislator Grandhi Madhavi at her house in Jubilee Hills on Tuesday night. Police sources said Devi received three calls on her mobile phone from Raju's cell phone 15 minutes before the incident, besides footprints and hair strands of a male were also found in the backyard of the kitchen.
Vital clues
"It is definitely the handiwork of insiders in the house as the pet dogs did not bark when the killers came inside," a police official said. He pointed out that it was not possible for any outsider to enter the house easily as the German shepherd never used to allow strangers into the house. "The mystery behind the case could be unravelled after Devi's condition becomes normal," the official said. He said a small metal piece was removed from her abdomen after a surgery in a corporate hospital in Jubilee Hills on Wednesday. Devi has been working in Madhavi's house for the last two years. She hails from West Godavari district.
