Management Institute plans conference

CHENNAI
: Yale-Great Lakes Center for Management Research will organise an international research conference on December 24.
Founder and honorary dean Bala V. Balachandran told mediapersons on Wednesday that professors from institutes such as Stanford, Kellogg, Columbia, Georgia State University, Fayetteville State University, Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad, IIM-B and Management Development Institute in Gurgaon would participate.
More than 75 papers have come from institutes including Institute of Rural Management, Anand, PSG Institute of Management, Reliance Industries and TCS.
Speakers include Ashok Vasudevan (co-founder & chief executive of Preferred Brands International), Neharika Vohra (Kellogg School of Management), Seenu V. Srinivasan (Stanford University) and Venkat R. Krishnan (director, Yale-Great Lakes Center for Management Research).
Mr. Balachandran said GLIM's new 18-acre campus at Manamai on East Coast Road would be ready by April 2008. It would offer post-doctoral programmes in management as well as have various research centres.
