Principal surrenders, released on bail

Bangalore:
Fr. Mathew, the principal of St. Claret's High School at Jalahalli, who has been accused of misbehaving with girl students, surrendered before the J.C. Nagar police late on Wednesday night. He was released on bail soon after he surrendered. The police said Fr. Mathew presented himself before the J.C. Nagar police around 10.45 p.m.. Meanwhile, the Jalahalli police who are investigating the allegations of misbehaviour, arrived at the J.C. Nagar police station and questioned him about the incident. Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Malini Krishnamurthy confirmed the surrender and said Fr. Mathew had been released on bail.
