Corrections and Clarifications

"Sunita stays back" ("Briefly", December 21, 2006, page 1) stated that Indian American astronaut Sunita Williams stayed back at the International Space Station, while an AFP report "Shuttle set to return" ("International" page, in the same issue) stated that the Discovery astronauts, including Sunita Williams bade farewell to their space station colleagues, sealed the hatch between the station and the shuttle and pulled away from the orbiting space station. Sunita Williams is staying back as the third crew member aboard the International Space Station for six months.

A report "Satisfied, says Jessica's family" (December 21, 2006) incorrectly stated Girija Vyas to be the Chairperson of the National Commission. It should have been Girija Vyas, Chairperson of the National Commission for Women (NCW).

In "Match ends in a tame draw" ("Sport", December 21, 2006) — on the Ranji Trophy Super League match at Delhi — the report wrongly states that Delhi stays at 10 points. Delhi has six points.

The text of "Shahabuddin runs through Baroda" ("Sport", December 21, 2006) incorrectly stated that the host slid from 262 for three to 320 all out, conceding a 17-run lead. The host slid to 325, as correctly stated in the scoreboard.
