HYDERABAD: Fortyfour Congress MLAs from Telangana urged Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy here on Thursday to use his good offices in impressing upon the Union Government and AICC president Sonia Gandhi the need to constitute a second States Reorganisation Commission (SRC). In a memorandum submitted to the Chief Minister, the MLAs lamented that despite the inclusion of the second SRC in the election manifesto of the party, much time elapsed without any concrete measures being taken in this regard. The MLAs wanted the Government to announce a special package of Rs. 10,000 crores for taking up specially designed activities for Telangana in a focussed manner.
