Puducherry: The Pondicherry Engineering College is holding a three-day international conference on `Cleaner technologies and environmental management' at the college auditorium in Pillaichavady from January 4. Addressing presspersons here on Thursday, College principal and Pondicherry Regional Centre of Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers chairman T.G. Palanivelu said several scientific and research organisations such as the Central Pollution Control Board, New Delhi; Ministry of Environment and Forests; Central Public Health and Environmental Engineering Organisation; Urban Development Ministry; Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, New Delhi; Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi would participate. The Department of Science Technology and Environment, Puducherry, is supporting the conference.
Paper presentations
Delegates from the IITs, National Institutes of Technology, Indira Gandhi Centre of Atomic Research and various universities in the U.S., France, Iran, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, South Korea and Trinidad would present papers at the 12 technical sessions and the two poster sessions.
