LPG cylinders seized in raids

KOCHI: A squad constituted to detect misuse of LPG cylinders meant for domestic use conducted raids and seized 112 cylinders on Thursday, a press release here said.

The squad, constituted by the District Collector, conducted raids at Palarivattam, Vyttila, Kaloor and Ernakulam South and North on hotels, `thattukadas' and vehicles, said the press release. Gas cylinders illegally stored in a house on Freedom Road were seized. Raids to detect the misuse of LPG would be intensified in the coming days. Action would be taken against the guilty.
