Bangalore : Rahil Shah grabbed six wickets, inclusive of a hat-trick, to set up Gujarat's nine-wicket victory over Orissa in a Vijay Merchant Trophy under-17 tournament's Elite Group `B' match here on Friday. Rahil's spell helped Gujarat bowl out Orissa for 172 in its second innings. Chasing 84, Gujarat scored the winning runs in the 17th over. At Visakhapatnam, Mohit Patel of Baroda scored his second century of the match against Haryana in a drawn encounter. Patel (121, 4x20) and another centurion Kedar Devar (104, 4x14) added 243 runs in an unbroken second wicket to take Baroda to 255. Baroda declared its innings at 255 for one. The scores: Orissa 174 in 62.4 overs and 172 in 68.2 overs (Ajay Kumar Rout 91, Rahil Shah six for 58) lost to Gujarat 262 in 84.4 overs and 85 for one in 17 overs. Assam 201 in 67.1 overs and 227 for six in 93.2 overs (Raju Das 76, Arminder Singh 74) drew with Madhya Pradesh 385 for six decl. in 110 overs. At Visakhapatnam: Baroda 329 and 255 for one decl. in 59 overs (Mohit Patel 121 n.o., Kedar Devar 104 n.o.) drew with Haryana 242 and 96 for one in 20 overs (Vipin Chadda 35, M. Dagar 36). Baroda 2 pts. Andhra 117 and 109 in 54.5 overs (Siddhartha Kaul four for 47, Kishan Alanga three for 13) lost to Punjab 302. Punjab 5.
