WARANGAL: Former students of Kakatiya Medical College (KMC) have decided to donate Rs.5 crores for the development of the college. The medical professionals who have obtained degree from this college and are practising in the US, Australia, Canada, and other countries and those working in various places in the country will hand over the amount to the college authorities at a meeting here on December 29. BJP senior leader and former Mayor T. Rajeshwar Rao, who is also an old student of the college, visited the institution with some other old students on Thursday and interacted with the college authorities. KMC principal P. Venugopal Rao said that the old students had suggested construction of a state-of-the-art alumni learning centre, an air conditioned conference hall with modern facilities, with a seating capacity of at least 300 and a couple of mini-conference halls. They would add some additional rooms for the ladies' hostel.
