Computer lab for Ramakrishna college

CHENNAI: The Ramakrishna Polytechnical College, part of the Ramakrishna Mission Students' Home at Mylapore, now has a computer laboratory with modern equipment thanks to a donation by Cognizant Foundation.

Swami Smaranananda, General Secretary of the math and the Ramakrishna Mission Belur Math, Howrah, commissioned the laboratory on Friday.

The Swami also launched the teleconference service connecting the math to Sankara Nethralaya.

R. Rajagopalan, director, Cognizant Foundation, said: "In this information era, sound computer skills will enable students to harness information and stay ahead of all competition. We believe that this contribution of Cognizant Foundation will help increase the employability of the students at the Ramakrishna Mission." N.R. Krishnan, and S. Ramamurthy, directors of the Foundation, urged the students to make the best use of the facility.
