Package to develop Satyabadi

BHUBANESWAR: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday announced a Rs. 7-crore special package to tap tourism potential of Satyabadi in Puri district.

Popularly known as Sakhigopal, this small but historic town located at a distance of 20 km from Puri houses the shrine of Lord Sakhigopal. Pilgrims and tourists who visit Puri also visit this place.

It is also better known as "panchasakha peetha".

The project would help develop Satyabadi as an integral part of the tourists' golden triangle of Puri-Konark-Bhubaneswar, Mr. Patnaik said during his tour to the place.
