Banks in Kozhikode district register 91 per cent CD ratio

Priority sector lending till September 30 was Rs.1,096.94 crore

KOZHIKODE: Banks in the district registered a credit-deposit ratio of 91 per cent during the period ending September 30 of the current financial year.

This was announced at a meeting of the district-level banking review committee in Kozhikode on Friday.

Priority sector lending till September 30 was Rs.1,096.94 crore, as against the target of Rs. 822.70 crore.

Advances to the farm sector stood at Rs 629.74 crore, Rs. 30.94 crore to the industrial sector and Rs. 436.26 crore to other sections under priority sector.

Additional District Magistrate G. Unnikrishna Pillai presided over the meeting.

P.M.A. Salam, MLA; RBI lead district officer L.M. Ganesan; Nabard assistant general manager Raju Varghese; Canara Bank assistant general manager G.H.S. Iyer; and Canara Bank lead district manager M. Balakrishnan spoke.
