BRO engineer kidnapped

Mangaldoi (Assam): An Executive Engineer of the Border Roads Organisation has been kidnapped by suspected NDFB militants in Assam's Darrang district.

Police said M. Ganesan was kidnapped on Friday night at Gitibam under the Paneri police station while he was returning on his motorcycle from a survey of bridge constructed over the Nonai river.

The police have launched a search to trace the engineer. — PTI
