Tributes paid to Narasimha Rao

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, Finance Minister K. Rosaiah and several Congress leaders paid homage to former Prime Minister P. V. Narasimha Rao on his second death anniversary at `PV Gyan Bhoomi', Necklace Road, on Saturday.

Dr. Reddy placed a wreath at the `samadhi' and went around the sculpted forms depicting the late Prime Minister's personality. He released an audio CD brought out on Narasimha Rao, highlighting his services in various capacities as also contribution in shaping the country's economic policies.

Former Minister P. V. Ranga Rao along with other family members, APCC president K. Keshava Rao, Major Irrigation Minister P. Lakshmaiah, Information Minister Mohd. Ali Shabbir, U. Arun Kumar and Anjan Kumar Yadav, MPs, were present. An all-religion prayer meeting, photo expo, free eye camp and poor feeding too were organised.
