1001st gold coin sale of Corporation Bank
|
CHENNAI:
Corporation Bank (T. Nagar) celebrated the sale of its 1001st gold coin on Friday.
The guest for the occasion was musician Sudha Raghunathan who said she hoped to come back to the bank to give away the 10,000th coin too.
She formally gave away coins of two, five and eight gm to a few customers of the branch. The scheme was launched four months ago.
The branch has made rapid strides in the sale of gold coins since its launch. Satish Nayak, deputy general manager, said the T. Nagar branch was among the top in the sale of the coins.
The imported gold coins are 24-carat and of 9.999 purity, and are also available in the form of 50 gm minted bars. They are available in all major Corporation Bank branches including Anna Nagar, Ashok Nagar, Egmore, George Town, Indira Nagar, Kellys, Mint Street, Mylapore and Whites Road.
