Computer rooms prone to fire

HYDERABAD:
In-charge District Collector for Hyderabad S. Mukteswar Rao in a release has said that rooms having computers, battery back-up systems and servers in various commercial establishments in the twin cities are more prone to fire accidents.
The District Fire Service department officials have managed to salvage assets worth Rs. 63 crores in ten major fire accidents that occurred from January till December of this year in the twin cities, the release from the in-charge Collector stated.
Most of these fire accidents had taken place in computer rooms. In all, Rs. 74 crores worth of goods were caught in the fire mishap out of which Rs 11.23 crores worth goods were completely gutted. The remaining Rs. 62.92 crores worth goods were salvaged, he said.
