EB collection centres

The TNEB has set up two additional computerised collection centres at Anna Nagar for the benefit of consumers. The new centres will function at A-Block, 165, IX Main Road, Shanthi Colony, near Anna Adarsh Vidyalaya School and the second one would function a 182A, 2nd Block, V Avenue, Anna Nagar.

Conference for the disabled

Members of the Tamil Nadu Association of the Welfare of the Physically Handicapped are organising a State conference on January 6 and 7 at Sathya Studio, Adyar. Over 2,000 differently-abled candidates are expected to participate. Several speakers including Chief Justice of Madras High Court, Ministers, MPs, senior government officials, Chennai Mayor and representatives of non-governmental organisations will address participants. The conference is aimed at creating awareness about `speedy implementation of the Persons with Disability Act 1995.'
