Unique mode to promote eye donation

HYDERABAD: Sixty-three-year-old retired businessman Satish Modi of Delara Foundation in association with the Eye Bank Association of India has embarked on a unique initiative to promote eye donation - bringing out a lakh calendars with messages and information about eye donation and all eye banks in the State.

Calendars

The calendars were printed in Telugu, Hindi and Urdu at a cost of Rs. lakhs and the "effort is to bridge the gap between the need and availability of information about eye donation," he said in a statement here on Wednesday.
