Dell celebrates Christmas for a noble cause

The employees, apart from spending time with the children, also presented them gifts

HYDERABAD: Employees of the IT and computer major Dell, donning the seasonal red of Santa Claus, have made the festival a much more happier occasion for over 1,000 less-privileged children in the twin cities as part of their annual `Dell Wishing Tree' programme.

National initiative

The employees, apart from spending time with the children from various NGOs here, also presented them gifts. A national initiative of Dell India, the Dell Wishing Tree involves setting up of decorated Christmas trees on all floors of Dell facilities in the country, buying and distributing gifts for children who depend on various NGOs and spending time with them.

Various NGOs

The children in the city come from NGOs including Hope Foundation, Smile Foundation, Project 511, Concern India, SOS Village, Missionaries of Charity and Divya Disha, according to a press release.
