GUNTUR : The three-day 30th Inter-Collegiate Athletic Championships came to a close on Sunday with A.S.N. College, Tenali lifting the men's team championship trophy and Montissori Mahila Kalasala, Vijayawada winning the women's trophy. University Vice-Chancellor V. Balamohandas congratulated champions B. Srinivasa Reddy of BBH College, Vetapalem, for men with 26 points and T. Swathi of MM Kalasala, Vijayawada with 25 points. While the men's team earned 57 points, the women got 101 points. Cash awards were given away to athletes creating new meet records. The University physical director said 10 meet records were created, which shows the keen competition among athletes. Sixth Battalion additional commandant A.A. Jeddy gave away prizes and trophies.
