PUDUCHERRY: AIADMK State secretary Anbalagan has urged the two Members of Parliament from Puducherry to concentrate on developmental issues. Addressing presspersons here on Saturday, he wanted to know whether the MPs had brought any new industrial units or projects to the Union Territory. Referring to a recent statement of an MP that a direct train would be flagged off soon to Mahe from Puducherry, he said it was only the extension of a Chennai-Coimbatore train to Mangalore. Two bogies would be attached at Villupuram and that train would pass through Mahe to reach Mangalore, he said. He demanded that status quo of JIPMER be maintained.
