Kumaraswamy's Christmas greetings

BANGALORE: Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy has extended Christmas greetings to the people of the State. "Let the Almighty shower everyone with peace and prosperity. Let us inculcate the values of brotherhood and principles of Jesus Christ in our lives this Chirstmas," the Chief Minister said in a press release.

The former Chief Minister, S. Bangarappa, who is the president of Samajwadi Party, has also extended Christmas greetings to the people of the State. — Staff Reporter

Chief Minister cancels visit

BELLARY: Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy has cancelled his visit to Potalkatte village in Hospet taluk as part of his programme of spending a day in villages.

Mr. Kumaraswamy was scheduled to visit the village on Saturday night and stay in the house of C. Devendrappa, member of the Chilakanahatti Gram Panchayat.

The programme was postponed to Sunday. Before that, he was scheduled to inaugurate the Anegundi Utsav, a two-day cultural festival, at Anegudi in Koppal district. — Staff Correspondent

The recepient of `Rashtra Kavi' award G.S. Shivarudrappa has been chosen for the `Person of the Year' Award.
