Good day for AP

Hyderabad: Host Andhra Pradesh fared well in the girls' team championship of the sub-junior National tennikoit championship by winning both its matches in the league phase here on Sunday. In the morning session AP beat Madhya Pradesh 3-0 and then in the evening the home team also got the better of Chattisgarh by a similar margin.

The results:

Boys' team championship: Tamil Nadu bt Gujarat 3-0; Chattisgarh bt Goa 3-0; Orissa bt Kerala 3-0; Maharashtra bt Rajasthan 3-0; Bihar bt Madhya Pradesh 3-1; Tamil Nadu bt Delhi 3-0; West Bengal bt Madhya Pradesh 3-0; Bihar bt Jammu and Kashmir 3-0; Kerala bt Chattisgarh 3-1; Maharahstra bt Pondicherry 3-1; West Bengal bt Jammu and Kashmir 3-0.

Girls' team championship: Pondicherry bt Gujarat 3-0; Andhra Pradesh bt Madhya Pradesh 3-0; Andhra Pradesh bt Chattisgarh 3-0; Orissa bt Pondicherry 3-0; Karnataka bt Jammu and Kashmir 3-0; Bihar bt Delhi 3-0; Kerala bt Bihar 3-0.
