17 injured in road accident

KOTTAYAM: Seventeen persons were injured when a Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus collided with a tourist carriage near Changanassery on Sunday. Six of them were admitted to the Kottayam Medical College Hospital. According to the police, the KSRTC bus was going from Alappuzha to Pathanamthitta when it collided with the tourist carriage belonging to the Mumbai-based CC Travels, taking tourists from Thekkady to Ernakulam.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Adi Sankara Veda Vedanta Samskrita Cooperative Educational Society and the Dakshina Bharatha Sangeetha Prachara Sabha will jointly organise a five-day classical music festival in connection with the 81st Jayanthi celebrations of Sanskrit scholar N.E.
