Saraswati Vidyamandir celebrates silver jubilee

Staff Reporter

BERHAMPUR: Saraswati Vidyamandir, Nilakanthanagar, a school that has made the city proud by its exemplary academic record, celebrated its silver jubilee on Sunday.

Berhampur MLA Ramesh Chandra Chyau Patnaik inaugurated the function on the school campus.

The students enthralled the audience with their acrobatic skills, drills and cultural programme.

Since 1992, the school had been achieving 100 per cent results in the secondary school board examination, with most of the students passing out in first division. This year, 130 students of the school appeared for the examination.

All of them passed, with 109 securing first division and 21 securing second division. Vivekananda Panigrahy secured ninth position in the State.

Its headmaster S. Mohan Rao attributes the academic success to the teaching pattern at the school and the dedication of teachers.
