NEW DELHI: Delhi airport remained fog free on Sunday giving passengers travelling by air an early Christmas gift. However, things were different on the ground with trains being rescheduled and running behind time. Flights also continued to be suffer from late "hangover'', often flying at a delay of an hour due to the backlog accumulated through Saturday. "There were normal operations at the airport on Sunday. The runway visibility range even at its worst was 1,500 metres, so there was no problem,'' said an airport official. And for Monday, a meteorological department official at the airport said: "It is expected that there will be fog at 5-30 a.m. But it is likely to clear after 9-30 a.m. The air operations are not likely to be disrupted.'' Train services in the Capital remain affected on Sunday also. At least 10 trains originating from Delhi had to be rescheduled, while around two-dozen trains were running hours behind schedule. Due to technical reasons, Howrah Janata Express running between Delhi and Howrah will remain cancelled on Monday. Trains that had to be rescheduled included Shramjivi Express, Howrah Janata Express, Jansadharan Express, Swatantrata Senani Express and Purvottar Sampark Kranti Express.
