Project finalised

BANGALORE: Bangalore Metropolitan Region Development Authority (BMRDA) Commissioner Sudheer Krishna on Sunday said that the authority had finalised a project for overall improvement of roads in the region.

Speaking at a meeting in the Bangalore Rural District Deputy Commissioner's office, he said that the company, Secon, had completed the survey work for the project that entailed laying of 830 km of roads.

The meeting had been convened to discuss the modalities for preventing development in the alignment of the proposed roads.

In the first phase, he said, 204 km of roads connecting satellite towns, ring roads, and other roads in Magadi, Doddaballapur, Devanahalli, Hoskote, Anekal, Kanakapura and Ramanagaram would be developed.
