Pedestrian killed in road accident

BANGALORE:
A pedestrian was killed after a car hit him near Amrutahalli Cross on Bellary Road on Sunday.
According to the police, the car was on its way from Yelahanka when the driver lost control of the vehicle after going over a road hump. He hit a motorcycle, the pedestrian and a metal barricade. The pedestrian, Mallikarjun (19), who was trying to cross the road, was caught between the car and the barricade. He died on the spot. The motorcycle riders, Anil Kumar and Manjunath, who suffered head injuries, are in a private hospital. The road hump was laid after an irate mob set on fire a private bus following an accident in July.

A 60-year-old man died after a vehicle hit him near a biscuit factory on Mysore Road on Saturday. His name was given as Booraiah.
