BANGALORE: The Bangalore City Police have not been able to make much headway in the investigation into the death of software professional Aditya Lahari. His body, with hands tied, was found on a tank bed in Garudacharpalya in Mahadevapura police station limits on December 22. Following an autopsy, the police have found that he died owing to asphyxiation. Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) P. Muniswamy said the police had intensified search for Aditya's car. The assailants had dumped his body on the tank bed and drove away in the car. His laptop and credit cards are also missing. Mr. Muniswamy said the police were on the lookout for some gangs involved in robbery on ring roads. The police are yet to complete the inquiry with the colleagues of Aditya, who was working as a systems analyst in a software company in Whitefield. Aditya and his wife Aparna, a software engineer, were scheduled to leave for Germany on a professional visit.
