THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: After the newsletter "Tourism Vogue," it is the turn of "Paadheyam" from Kerala Institute of Tourism and Travel Studies (KITTS). While "Tourism Vogue" was aimed at the tourism clubs in the State, the new publication in Malayalam is aimed at the public. It will inform them about the burgeoning tourism industry and the happenings in the sector. The Malayalam newsletter has been brought out in connection with the golden jubilee celebrations of the formation of the State. V. Rajeevan, Director of KITTS, is the Editor-in-Chief of the newsletter. Minister for Home and Tourism Kodiyeri Balakrishnan released the inaugural issue by handing over a copy to Principal Secretary, Tourism, E.K. Bharat Bhushan at a function in the capital recently.
Inaugural issue
The inaugural issue, which focuses on medical tourism, has articles written by Mr. Kodiyeri, Chairman of KTDC Cherian Philip, Director of Ecotourism T.P. Narayanan Kutty among others. Articles on new tourism initiatives, responsible tourism, happenings in the aviation sector and on the recently concluded Kerala Travel Mart (KTM) in Kochi are included.
