Bags first prize at State-level elocution competition

KARIMNAGAR: K. Sai Krishna, a tenth class student of Laurel High School in Karimnagar town, has bagged the first prize at the State-level elocution competition conducted by the Department of Consumer Affairs, Food and Civil Supplies of the State Government during the National Consumer's Week celebrations - 2006.

He received the prize from Civil Supplies Commissioner Bhanwarlal in the presence of Justice I. Venkatanarayana, president of Andhra Pradesh State Consumer Disputes Redressal Council and others on Monday. Mr. Krishna spoke on the topic of `Consumer rights for the empowerment of consumer'.
