Lacking in competitive spirit

After the advent of liberalisation, most of the States are exhibiting a competitive spirit. Showcasing of resources and presenting an investor-friendly environment are part of the game. The State's attitude is reflected in its approach to the investor. Kerala lags behind the others in offering an environment conducive to investment. That is the most common complaint among investors.

It was repeated at a meeting convened by the Industries Department to assess the opinion of entrepreneurs and industrialists in the city on the draft industrial policy released by the Government.
