Six seeds bite the dust

BANGALORE: Six seeds bit the dust on the second day of the Mahila Seva Samaj AITA Talent Series (Under-16 and 14) junior tennis championship here on Tuesday.

In the girls' under-16 singles, the fourth-seeded Dhruti, seventh seed S.G. Abhinya and the eighth seed Nupur bowed out, while in the girls' under-14 singles, Shruthi Ashok humbled third seed Surya Suresh 8-4.

In the boys' under-14 singles, Sachin stopped sixth seed Raghavendra and qualifier Sushil Bala beat the seventh-seeded K. Hemanth 8-5 in another second round tie.
